To help mark the transition from remembrance to celebration, join the Lab/Shul Ritual Team – along with local rabbis, artists, peacemakers, activists, poets and musicians – as we cast an everybody-friendly circle of ritual & prayer for peace. Featuring a special poetic performance of Flag Of No Nation, written by Tom Haviv and directed by Ezra Bookman.
Following ritual, award-winning Israeli multi-cultural women’s ensemble Yael Deckelbaum & Prayer of the Mothers celebrates Yom Haatzmaut, Israel’s Independence Day. Celebrating the great diversity of Israel at 70, Yael will be joined by Arab-Christian singer Miriam Toukan and other Israeli musicians living in New York.
