Artist/Presenter Market Place moderated by Lisa Alcalay Klug
General Admission- $20.00
Schmooze is the IJPA’s not-to-be-missed annual gathering. The Schmooze Jewish Culture Conference serves as a powerful platform for 200 (and growing) Jewish culture makers, presenters and artists. It is strategically linked to the prestigious Association of Performing Arts Presenters (APAP) for sharing concerns, participating in high-level conversations about Jewish culture, booking talent, marketing events, developing audiences, securing funding, and viewing showcases of leading and cutting-edge Jewish artists. It is capped by nightly two-day Oy!hoo Music Festival performances in NYC.
Schmooze is a nexus point for presenters to discover new work, for colleagues to find jobs, for collaborators to find each other, to connect artists with grants and venues, and help connect young professionals with mentors.
With the recent unprecedented cancellation of major conferences such as the Coalition for Advancement in Jewish Education (CAJE) due to the financial downturn, Schmooze is even more relevant to the Jewish community at large.
